Direct Links to Twitter Messages

Have you wondered how you get the link to a single tweet (message) you made on Twitter? It’s super easy! This comes in very handy for blog giveaways also where you can get extra entries for passing it along via twitter. I’m using just the regular twitter page in my example, but this works directly in apps like Twhirl also.

You can start on the main twitter page, make sure to log in, or if you are looking for your own tweets use the profile page (like my example). You will see under each tweet there is a time reference of how long ago the tweet was made. These time references are all clickable.

Twitter Tip
Simply pick the tweet you want a direct link to and click on that time reference link. It will bring up a new page that shows just that single tweet. Then copy the URL at the top and paste that link wherever you may need it. It will lead anyone directly to that single tweet.

You can actually (in most cases) just right click the time reference link you want and select COPY LINK to get the url without even clicking to save a few seconds.
