I have to add to the live greener resolution. I wouldn’t consider myself very ‘green’. I drive an SUV, buy my clothes at Target and Walmart, and drive to 3 different grocery stores to get the best deals. I know, shame on me. I have made one HUGE step in the green direction, though. I urge everyone to look into making your own homemade cleaning products. I started about 2 years ago and have pretty much perfected them. You wouldn’t believe what you can create with as little as two common household ingredients. They cost pennies to make once you have the supplies and they are so much healthier than buying harsh chemicals. I’ve found that most of them are just as effective, cost less, are healthier, and take only minutes to make! Google it. It’s worth the money you save! Happy greening!

So, I go to the site, to look at something resolution-y, like “eating healthier,” but I get sidetracked by a rock-like slab of solid shampoo (????) from Lush that is guaranteed to smell like an Eastern temple and make my hair heavenly…so, I guess my resolution should be…to stop getting sidetracked!!

  • That Girl Who Likes To Go, Go, Go

I especially like spending more time with your family. Our kids are in college and high school and everyone seems to scatter. We recently got the game “Apples to Apples” which everyone enjoys playing together. We have a lot of fun and laughter.

I guess it is time to make my New Year’s resolutions again….I guess I have many of the same ones as everyone else..good idea to match products with goals like that!

This list really gives me something to shoot for…maybe I’ll take on 3 or 4 New Year’s challenges this year!

Blah – I never make New Years resolutions. I never keep them and then just end up feeling guilty. But I do like the live greener one – that is something I try to do anyway. My goal for the year is to use up all my current cleaning products, then try making my own out of vinegar and etc. We’re also going to do cloth diapers with our baby (due in May!) and I’m going to start walking to the store more – good for the environment and good for me!

  • Belinda

I long ago gave up on New Year’s resolutions – or at least on publicly announcing them – that seemed to make them doomed to fail!

  • Shelley

Sigh :) I think my resolution will be NOT to make resolutions. LOL!!

I like the list, good tips.

Like you, I normally don’t do New Year’s resolutions. I kind of figure they’re meant to be broken.
