The best thing about my year so far has been spending more time with my kids. My son joined a basket ball team, so we have been having fun watching him at his games. Also, the children participated in a pinewood derby car race this past weekend. We had lots of fun over the last couple weeks making their cars.

I may not be making any friends with this, but I’d say the best part of this year has been the inauguration, with the promise of new hope.

I was able to see my family of which I haven’t seen in two years and they got to spend time and see their granddaughter for the first time.

So far the best thing about this year is that I’m due with my daughter in a week or two! I love being pregnant, the time just flies, but it gets a bit uncomfortable at the end so I’m happy it’s almost over :-)

Just one favorite thing so far this year? Well, I would have to say that hearing my daughter put words together is the best thing! My daughter just turned 2, and is putting words together! Being able to communicate better is such a great thing! She isn’t so ticked off because she can say what she wants, and I’m not so ticked off because I don’t know what she’s saying! Such a simple thing, but something that helps out our lives so much!

We celebrated a late Christmas with my family…and I got to go skiing for the first time in about 5 years!

Last year was a really rough year for us, probably one of the hardest we have been through (I will not go into details).

We cut back on fast food, started shopping more deals and clearances, found ways to cut back on bills (Power, Gas, Water) and got rid of un-needed monthly debits (Netflix, Gamefly). We had to cut a lot of corners, but it worked!

The best thing so far is buying tickets to Mexico. Can’t believe it’s me!

This year hasn’t been very good so far. Hot water pipes froze and had to go three days with no hot water until it warmed up enough for them to thaw. Two days later, the storm door was frozen shut and it took using the hairdryer for 25 minutes to get it open (of course it was the only door out of our apartment so I was late for work). Then last week I lost a filling from my front tooth…have to wait until March to get in to see the dentist. I guess the best thing about my year so far is that I’m still breathing.

Well, one of my best friends moved back into my town from where she’d been going to college, so that was pretty wonderful!

The best thing about my year so far is that I am smoke free!! Quitting smoking was my New Year’s resolution and with the help of Chantix it’s a reality. I have been a smoker for 15+ years and have tried quitting many times with no success. With Chantix I have no withdrawel symtoms or any side effects except for very vivid dreams which I don’t mind.

The best thing about my year so far has been the increased closeness with my children. It felt like those relationships were drifting some for a while there, but we’ve been enjoying each other so much these last couple of weeks and really getting along well.

My husband did not get laid off. His pay was dratically reduced but he gets to keep his job. It’s a small business and they’ve laid off quite a few workers. Here’s looking to better news soon. lol thank you!!

Although we are only 28 days into the New Year, I have so many wonderful things that I could put into the post. I know I am supposed to narrow it down, but how do you chose….we went through a health scare with my Dear Dad and just last week found out that it wasnt cancer that he had, but a very confused set of doctors, he has since changed his set of doctors and now the ball is rolling and he soon on his way to better health! My husband has a huge scare at work when they were going to go on strike (Yes in this economy as dumb as a strike sounds) well thank God they decided to work things out. They did end up doing a lay off and Praise God my Husband still has a job!

Best thing so far, my daughter said her first word. Sadly, it wasn’t mama. :)
