Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific…

Green SprayDo you see those two bottles? Notice anything? Looking at them side by side you can see plenty of differences, but when they are sitting on the counter by the sink in the morning and you are not quite fully awake, even after a shower, they are just both skinny light green spray bottles.

You can see where this is going right? This morning I grabbed one of the bottles and started squirting it all over my hair. Hmmm, this is spraying out really easily today. Then I go to rub it into my hair and, wait a minute, it isn’t sticky either! Ack – I squirted the cucumber melon body spray all over my hair! Luckily I just towel dried it a bit again and it was ok and I moved onto the spray gel. I guess it could have been worse; I could have used the spray gel all over me as body spray. That would have been a sticky mess!

I remember my aunt telling me a similar story long ago. She was getting ready for work and thought she was grabbing the aerosol hair spray and instead she grabbed her aerosol antiperspirant/deodorant. She laughed and said her hair did not sweat all day!

You’re so right! The mix up could have been so much worse. :) It’s still a funny story, though.

  • Linda

Sorry but I had to laugh. That was a funny story. Good thing that you realized your mistake before it was too bad.

  • Stacey Moore

    been there. done that.
    funny!

  • Lisa P

Before I finished reading I was going to say I did the same thing with mixing up deodorant and hair spray. I’ve heard that if you spray a bit of perfume on your hairbrush, then brush it, it makes your hair smell nice and makes it disperse nicely :D

good story. I needed a little humor :)

A few days ago, my mom was about to put athlete’s foot cream on my baby’s butt! The two little tubes looked alike. Thank God she noticed in time!

When I was a teenager I meant to use some of the ever popular Sea Breeze on my face, but I didn’t have my contacts in. I thought it was burning more than usual when I looked closer and saw that I had grabbed the nail polish remover ~ouch!

  • Lori

Well this seems like an easy fix, no more green products. You need like day glow orange and blue.

  • brandy

how funny. i’ve done that so many times. i’ve brushed my teeth with orajel before, and used hairspray as body spray. lack of sleep from having three toddlers

I’m not alone in mix-up land!
Just last week, I was in a hurry, and grabbed the bottle of rubbing alcohol, instead of mouthwash.
It got as far as the lip area, before the strong scent brought me back to my senses, and I realized my BIG goof-up.
Also, I was trying to hang up a pained metal butterfly on a porch, and at the same time, my sister was asking me for something to clean a stain off of her suede boots. In my hurry to get all caught up, I said, “Here!”….and handed her—the hammer.
I got the strangest look, in return…then realized what I had done. (Umm…I haven’t been asked for any household hints, since then…)

It is a good thing you realized before you left your house. You could have had a really bad hair day!

  • elkaye

Did anyone comment on how great your hair smelt that day? :)

  • Angie Marion

I’m sure we’ve all done the same thing. I have!

  • Toni-Lynn

LOL! I am so laughing with you and not at you! I did this once with windex! I had it in a small bottle to keep upstairs and hubby moved stuff around and I sprayed it in my hair thinking it was the water bottle!

I’ve done this in the shower 9without my glasses) with shampoo and conditioner. that’s why I like the brands that make the bottles different
