Life is too precious not to know CPR, you never know when something will happen - better to be prepared.
Good luck to all
I have three younger brothers so I've had to take them to the hospital and be in scary situations many times in the past few years. This would help me to feel much more secure & help save lives!
It has been over 10 years since I've had a CPR class. Things have changed since then and I want to have the latest info. You never know when you'll need it!

I think it is important that every person especially parents should know cpr. One never knows when the skill will be needed and it is important to know what to do. This is an important giveaway and I would love to win this.
I've taken a class, need to renew, but this would give me incentive to have my husband learn how, for MY sake

My sister teaches elem. school, so she is supposed to go to the Red Cross this summer, to take a CPR class. I took a class at city hall over 10 years ago, but I really don't recall much.
I do know how to do the Heimlich manueuver, even on myself, because I once swallowed some gum that went down the wrong way. Yup, I was trying to walk AND chew gum at the same time.
I have been a witness to someone having a seizure and knowing what to do is important to that persons life.
My husband has had one heart attack. I need to know CPR in case of another. It has been a loooong time sicnce I had a course; hopefully I still remember it.
I think it is important for everyone to learn CPR because many lives could be saved!

I have been a CPR instructor for about a year now and certified for several yrs. prior. I don't think the importance truly hit me until I started teaching classes and seeing the desire of people to learn. As many of them said, they hope they never have to use it. I work in a school (with a tight budget)and the more manikins I have available - the more people I can teach! pick me :)
thanks so much for doing this!
I would love to win this because you never know when you will need to save someone's life, I have 2 girls and would like for them to learn to, I think knowledge of something you can do in a stressful situation you need to be confident in what you are doing. please enter me in this giveaway.

It's important to me to have my family learn CPR because of the risks we have. My Dad has extreme heart problems. My daughter has had seizures. I just want to make sure that we do all we can to save the lives of those we love. Blessings, Stefanie Hartman fhartman@frontiernet.net

I've seen people have heart attacks and it is truly heart-wrenching when no one know how to perform CPR. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
because no matter how many times renew card and take classes, its not the same as when it is for real and the nerves and adrenaline hit.

Everyone should learn cpr. It's something you need to know but hope you will never have to use.
I'm not up to date on my CPR certification any more. This kit would be great practice.
You could save a life!
One never knows when someone might be in need of CPR and if YOU don't know how to do it there might not be anyone about who does. Once someones heart stops supplying blood/oxygen to the brain, I believe you have only 3 minutes or so until there is irreversible brain damage.
The small son of one of my cousins fell into their pool several years ago. They lived twenty minutes from the nearest hospital. And, had she not known CPR, he probably would have died. As it turned out, he did have some minor brain damage but, after some therapy, has continued to grow and develop normally.
It seems miraculous. But it is a miracle that would no have happened if she had not had a CPR class.

I have 4 kids and one afternoon my wife and I were out with our youngest (2 years old) and he had taken a small mint of the counter and we didn't know it. as we were walking with him, he put it in his mouth and began to choke. I had to jump into action and preform the Heimlich on him. I remembered from a life guarding class years ago. thankfully I was able to dislodge it and save him. had I not known how to we could have lost him. This product could help others to know how to save a life as well.
WOW! How valuable this giveaway is. I am certified, but I always say i want to go take classes at the Y with my oldest & brush up on myself. I think everyone should know CPR - you never know when you could save a life. If I win, I'm going to have a training party at my house.

I would feel horrible if I wasn't able to help somebody (or my kids) in trouble. I feel guilty that I have never taken a course.
I'm a nurse and I'm constantly amazed by how many people don't know basic CPR. My best friend is a teacher and I was shocked to learn NO ONE in their school was required to be CPR certified! Scary! I'd love to have this to help all my friends and family members learn CPR!

The most important reason to learn CPR is because it can save lives! This would be a win that would go to good use, as I would love to share it with our local boy scouts chapter to allow young men learn properly how to perform CPR. This is an invaluable learning tool!
I believe every adult or even young adult should at least basic CPR. I renew my CPR training every two years' I have been in many situations especially work related, where it's so important for someone to kn ow how to perform CPR.Like yourself I'm a home schooler. if I don't get lucky I plan to purchase the kit to educate the kids. Thanks.

I believe there will always be someone, somewhere who will need the skill.

Knowing CPR can save lives. If someone does not know Jesus and dies its really bad. If they are brought back by CPR they have another chance to know him before it is to late.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life
I work directly in the emergency services field. It is important for a person to be educated and informed on how to do CPR because it is a life-saving procedure.

It's so important to start right away when an emergency occurs -- you could save a life. I also think that just having a little training will make you more likely to jump in to help; not stand around and panic.
Super awesome giveaway!

I hope I never need to use CPR. Yet knowing how to do it properly could save someone's life.
It's important I believe for me to learn CPR because I live on a busy corner, and many times I've had to call 911. What if someone needed CPR before an ambulance arrived? I want to learn it in case something like that ever happens, which is very possible, with all the traffice here on the corner.

thanks for the contest.
It's important because emergencies happen unexpectedly and it's the one thing that is vital to do as soon as possible! A lot of us have no idea how to do CPR and it very well could save a life one day if we learn.

Its very important. My father is a paramedic, and he uses CPR with alot of his patients. Anyone can learn how to do it, and it can save someones life.
clarkmurdock@yahoo.com
I might have the best reason of all! On 4/30/08 I went into sudden cardiac arrest. My coworkers were able to revive me with CPR, and kept me alive until paramedics could arrive. I literally died 3-4 times in 24 hours, and CPR and a defibulater brought me back to life. I'd like to be able to return the favor someday.
My daughter's friend choked on candy and stopped breathing, and her mom had been trained, so she was able to save her. That is an important skill!

its great to know because you never know what situation might arise where knowing this could save a life
I want to know CPR in case my family ever needs help and stops breathing or their heart stops. Most especially my children and grandson.
This is both a painful and inspiring giveaway:
Painful, because I have friends and family who have died, perhaps needlessly - and I also know people who were saved because they were blessed to be around people who knew CPR and how to save their lives.
This "kit" should be as essential in every home as a smoke detector and a first aid kit!
