in robynsonlineworld

Do you all remember my review of the CPR Anytime Kit earlier this month? I really think this is a fantastic product and was thrilled that I was able to review it from Mom Central and the American Heart Association. I was so thrilled that I asked if they would like to offer up another kit as a prize for my readers and they did! Even if you have learned CPR in the past this kit is a great refresher course for anyone. For my fellow homeschoolers it makes a fantastic lesson obviously.

The Giveaway: You can win your own CPR Anytime Kit to learn in your own home and share with your friends and family as well.
Required Entry: For your chance to win tell me why you think it is important to learn about CPR. You can earn only one entry for this method.

Extra Entries: The following are all extra things you can do for more entries. Leave an additional comment for each thing you do to earn extra entries.

  • Blog about this giveaway on your own blog (please don’t copy my entire post onto your blog though). Leave the direct link to your post in your comment for an extra entry.

  • Subscribe via email to my feed and let me know in your comment for an extra entry.

  • Follow me on Twitter @RobynsWorld and send a tweet about the giveaway. Leave a direct link to your tweet (instructions here) in your comment for an extra entry. Here is a tweet you can use (or make your own):
Win a CPR Anytime Kit from @RobynsWorld http://snurl.com/CPRkit Plz RT

Rules: Only one of each entry method listed per person/family/household. No entering on behalf of others, using extra identities or others identities, no automated program entries, etc. If I catch you cheating you will be banned from this and all of my future giveaways! This giveaway is only open to those in the USA, ages 18+ only. All entries must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on Friday June 5, 2009. I will pick the winner and email them and they have 48 hours to claim the prize. If no response, I will pick a new winner. Good luck!

I have been a CPR instructor for about a year now and certified for several yrs. prior. I don’t think the importance truly hit me until I started teaching classes and seeing the desire of people to learn. As many of them said, they hope they never have to use it. I work in a school (with a tight budget)and the more manikins I have available – the more people I can teach! pick me :)
thanks so much for doing this!

  • Celia

One never knows when someone might be in need of CPR and if YOU don’t know how to do it there might not be anyone about who does. Once someones heart stops supplying blood/oxygen to the brain, I believe you have only 3 minutes or so until there is irreversible brain damage.

The small son of one of my cousins fell into their pool several years ago. They lived twenty minutes from the nearest hospital. And, had she not known CPR, he probably would have died. As it turned out, he did have some minor brain damage but, after some therapy, has continued to grow and develop normally.

It seems miraculous. But it is a miracle that would no have happened if she had not had a CPR class.

I have 4 kids and one afternoon my wife and I were out with our youngest (2 years old) and he had taken a small mint of the counter and we didn’t know it. as we were walking with him, he put it in his mouth and began to choke. I had to jump into action and preform the Heimlich on him. I remembered from a life guarding class years ago. thankfully I was able to dislodge it and save him. had I not known how to we could have lost him. This product could help others to know how to save a life as well.

I might have the best reason of all! On 4/30/08 I went into sudden cardiac arrest. My coworkers were able to revive me with CPR, and kept me alive until paramedics could arrive.
