Over this summer Taylor and I found a fantastic new place for lunch (they are open for dinner too) called Sweet Tomatoes. We first went after a homeschool field trip with a group of others and everyone really enjoyed it. Since then, Taylor and I have been back and we even took Hubby once (he works nearby so we picked him up for lunch). Check their map to see if there is a location near you.
Normally, I am not a fan of buffet type places, but Sweet Tomatoes (also known as Souplantation) is far better than your ordinary buffet. They have a wide variety of prepared salads, plus you can just make your own salad with all the toppings they have available. Then there is the soup section with multiple varieties of soup – I have yet to try one of their soups I haven’t liked. By the soup they also even have baked potatoes! Just grab a spud and open it up and top it however you like. Taylor’s favorite part is the bread area – in particular the Quattro Formaggio Focaccia. In the mood for pasta? No problem, they have that too and the chef’s will toss together your combination of pasta and sauces fresh for you. If after all of that you still have room, then there is even ice cream and desserts available (we usually have filled up on the rest of the stuff though).

Another fun upcoming event is Pajama-Rama on Sunday October 18th in celebration of National Pajama Month. Kids are invited to the 3rd annual Pajama-Rama had have a free breakfast from 9am-noon (with purchase of adult meal). Breakfast items include Belgian waffles, French toast, egg scramble foccacia, cinnamon chip biscuits, potatoes O’Brien, make your own breakfast burritos and much more, Hmm, we haven’t had breakfast there before – I think we are going to have to try it!
