Label Your Cables and Wires & Stay Organized
If your family is anything like mine you have a ton of wires and adapters that go to a ton of gadgets, toys, electronics, tools, etc.
While they are plugged in and in use it isn't such a problem to keep track of what is what. Once you start unplugging things, putting things away, moving things around, or sharing then all those wires become a problem. It is hard to remember who owns what and what the wire is for.
A simple solution - use a label and write what the wire is for on it and fold it over on itself. I actually write on both sides most of them time. You can see in the picture I labeled my iPhone cable with my name - this is because all 3 of us have that same usb cable - I don't want someone else in the house swiping mine! The other is for my new digital camera (more about that soon). Notice that I wrote the make and model on the tag this time, this is because if I just write camera I won't know which camera, and even if I write Kodak camera - I could still run into an issue if I replace it with a newer one down the line. Be precise when labeling. If you need to easily spot the differences when things are packed together you might try different colored sticker/labels - one per family member.
A simple, easy, and inexpensive way to keep cables and wires organized!

This is a WONDERFUL idea! I never thought to do anything like this. But we really need to do something. I'd like to find a way to better organize all of our crazy wires, that way they don't look so messy and also labeling them so we know what is what. Thanks for the idea.
