Best of 2009 – My Favorite Posts

December 31, 2009

I already did my Best of 2009 for my review posts, so I thought I would make a list of my favorite non-review posts of 2009 also. This list was harder because I decided to pick just one post from each month.

  • January – Inauguration Day
I was thrilled to share such an important day with my son and see him so involved in the process. This was his first election that he really was into and I found it very cool to hear his thoughts and opinions on it all.

  • February – Take This Job and…
You all were so supportive of me when I posted about my quitting the work-at-home job I had been doing for several years. I really struggled with that decision and your support helped me get through it a lot. Financially we have felt the pinch, but it was still worth leaving a very negative situation.
  • March – No Pajama Pants in Public Please
Still a huge pet peeve of mine – people wearing pajama pants to the store and stuff. Seems it is worse in the winter.
  • April – April Fools Pranks – Final Report
I love being silly and you all seemed to enjoy hearing about the pranks we did this year on Hubby. I’m going to have to come up with more pranks for 2010!
  • May – A Homeschool Summer
When I wrote that post I had no idea that would be our last summer as homeschoolers. Taylor starts back to public school in just 5 days and I am really going to miss him. I’m sure we will still do a lot of fun learning at home, but it’s just not the same as being a homeschooling family.
  • June – Mom’s New Tri-Cortical Ilium Wedge
I love this because it is one of the most interesting blog post titles I’ve had LOL. By the way, Mom is doing fine now.
  • July – Twitter Party Friday Night #NotAtBlogHer
This was my first Twitter party that I hosted and I had a ball doing it!
  • August – The Journey of Me
An easy pick for the list. I am very proud of myself for putting this stuff out there to share with others and for doing all those things (well they are a work in progress)
  • September – Get Over It
Another easy pick for me – I love that I am not afraid to post pictures, and even videos, of myself online. I know several of you took the plunge too – good job!
  • October – My Very 1st Mammogram – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This video was very important to me and I have heard from so many people that it made them go get their 1st mammogram too!
  • November – Those Days
I picked this post because I love being able to write these moments down and share them and know that I am not alone in having these types of days
  • December – A Tragic Loss
The news impacted me a lot because I honestly can see myself doing the same as Shellie did. I wanted to share my thoughts about the event.

I would love to know if you have a favorite post of mine from this year. It doesn’t matter if it is part of this list or not – just whatever you liked the most. Plus if you are blogging too please include a link to your own personal favorite post from your own blog in 2009!
