FedEx Out Of Office BlogWhen I hear FedEx I used to always just think of fast shipping. However, FedEx acquired Kinko’s a while back and is now called FedEx Office. This means they have even more than just fast shipping. You can do all the shipping and packaging stuff, but also rent computers, use their fax service to send or receive, they have office supplies, notary services and more. The best part is all the great printing services they offer I think.

I can create some very cool stuff on my computer, but printing those things off, especially in quantity, can be very expensive on a home printer. The ink alone for a solid colored object is a lot, but you need nice paper for things too. This is where FedEx Office can be really helpful. You can upload your creations to their website and have them printed then you can pick up at a local FedEx Office store or have them delivered to you. As a stay at home mom I don’t have a daily need for services like this, but occasionally I do for community projects, gift projects, or now even for expanding my blog.

FedEx Office also just started a new blog called “Out of Office” for unexpected ideas for creative projects. I found a great idea on the blog today for ideas for using up Christmas gift wrap. I can laminate different sizes of it to make things like placemats and coasters, bookmarks, and more. Now my leftover wrap is very Christmas-y, but these would be good things to do now and pack away with my holiday decorations for next year to use myself or give as little gifts. Right now they have a lot of holiday related stuff too, but I’m sure as time goes on they will be adding plenty of other great ideas that will be useful year round. I’m looking forward to the template section that says coming soon especially.
