Welcome Blizzard Bloghoppers to Robyn’s Online World! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Household 6 Diva came up with this event for those of us not attending the Blissdom Conference this weekend in Nashville.
So I’m Robyn and my blog is just about whatever happens in my world. That mainly takes the shape of being a mom to a teenage son, Taylor, and a wife to Hubby (it will be 18 years this month), a foodie, a geek, and a lot of other things. My blog started in June of 2008, it’s not my first website, but it is my first “official” blog that I’ve done. I’ve had other personal websites since the early ’90s and I had a site called TheWinnersClub.net that was all about sweepstakes and contests. You will see that my love of giveaways has carried on here at Robyn’s Online World also.
I am a Midwestern girl, being born and raised in the St. Louis, Missouri area. My husband is also, we both grew up in the same suburb and have known each other since I was 16. We weren’t high school sweethearts, but I did think he was cute back then. We got together in 1990 and have been together ever since. Our son, Taylor, came along a few years later and I truly love being a mom. I was lucky enough to be able to homeschool for a long time, but right now we are working on transitioning to public school – this is proving to be a bit harder than I had expected. We are a very close family and truly enjoy spending time together. Our family also includes lots of pets: 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and lots of fish. We are very lucky to have most of our extended family right here in the St. Louis area also.
On my blog you will get lots of reviews. If you have ever met me in real life, you know that reviewing items on my blog is not a stretch for me at all. I am that person that always is sharing about new products or services, offering my opinion, or sharing information. At the store I am always talking to total strangers about items I see them looking at – this drives Taylor and Hubby a tad crazy with me at times. Along with my reviews I try to get extras to give away to my readers. Make sure you keep checking in to see what new giveaways are going on.
I’m happy to share recipes and cooking tips right alongside my geek stuff too. You will find several tutorial type videos (vlogs) about blogging, twitter, and other geeky type things. Like I said, it’s a mix of everything Robyn!
