Keep It Fresh with a Banana Seal

Finally a banana I like – the Banana Seal! This was sent to me the other day to try out and as soon as I saw it I said “why didn’t I think of that?” Such a great little invention to keep things fresh.

The simplicity of this is amazing. It is a plastic channel piece and a plastic tube piece that fits in the channel. When you have a bag to reseal, you just place the channel piece on one side of the bag and then put the tube piece on the other and easily press into place. Presto – the bag is resealed!

Taylor is notoriously bad for not closing up bags enough. I have a variety of chip clips and clothespins to use for closing bags, but he sort of just squishes the bag a bit and puts it on and there are still gaps on either side. If I can get him to use a Banana Seal then the problem of things going stale will be solved! This will save us money too since we can keep all sorts of things fresh longer.

The above is the way Taylor closes a bag of chips. Really kind of pointless.

You can see with the Banana Seal the bag is now closed all the way across!

The Banana Seal comes in several different sizes and is good in the fridge and the freezer also. Think about using the large ones for things like potting soil and other garden items even to keep other things out. You can see all the different sizes and some quick videos on the Banana Seal website.
