I’ve grown up with Banquet products. As a kid I remember loving when it was Banquet Pot Pie night! They also used to make a great family size beef stew that my mom would make with fresh rolls – another favorite. As a mom myself I haven’t relied on the full frozen meals so much, but Taylor loves their chicken nuggets (what is with kids and nuggets?). I keep Banquet Chicken Nuggets in the freezer for him for quick lunches all the time. Taylor also likes their boneless pork rib “TV dinner” (am I showing my age calling them that). At $1 a package it is a super inexpensive and easy lunch for him – not something I do all the time, but it’s nice in a pinch.
Mom Central sent me some coupons for free Banquet items to try them out. One we used so Taylor could get his rib fix. The other we used for a Family Style meal – our choice was a chicken and broccoli over rice. This is something normally that Taylor and I would like (Hubby not so much, so we made it for lunch while Hubby was at work). Unfortunately, neither Taylor or I liked this at all. It just truly didn’t taste very good to us. It’s not to say that others wouldn’t enjoy it, but we are just used to different flavors that this. If you eat a lot of frozen meals to start with though, it might be something you like.
