I started watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 when it first came on. While Kate always was a bit controlling and bossy, I could still relate. After all, she was a mom of 8 kids and that is a lot to take on. Since her divorce though the way she is portrayed on her show and in the media is really different from the original Kate. Now I know we all grow and change, and that is a good thing. I also do not know Kate personally and so her real self may be totally different than how she is on her show – but based on what I see right now I just don’t get her anymore. I’m not a prude at all, nor am I a fashionista in any way, but the outfits she has been wearing lately just do not seem appropriate to be going around town with her 8 kidlets in tow.
Kate on a recent episode where she wore this on a day of sight seeing with her kids around New York City. You can’t tell in this picture as much, but the shoes are high heels and the top, well, she was hanging out a bit on the sides in some of the shots during the episode.
I’m not sure where this picture was taken, but this one just looks slutty to me.
I believe this picture is of Kate taking her kids back to school shopping. Really? Yikes!
What kind of image is she portraying to her girls on how they should dress? I know Kate has worked hard and looking good and I’m guessing wants to show off her new self a bit, but there is a time and a place. If she gets a babysitter for the kids and wants to go out dancing in the evening then maybe those would be better occasions to wear some of these kinds of outfits. I know that even if I did have a body like that, Taylor would be mortified if I dressed like that while we were out running errands. On top of the outfits, on the last couple of episodes of Kate Plus 8 she really has come across as very diva-ish in her attitude. Her whining about her not being able to take all this noise when she hasn’t eaten because her blood sugar is low – geez Kate, carry a snack in your bag, come on you’re a mom! Like I said, I don’t know her in person and I’m only expressing my opinions because she is on TV by choice being a “celebrity”.
