Hubby loves tools. He always has, probably always will. I guess tools for him are like tech stuff for me. When we first were dating and married he would ask for tools as gifts and I never would give him any because I thought it was boring – but he finally convinced he loves them. Whatever floats his boat, right? Apparently, Hubby is not the only guy like this – lots of them like tools.
So this year for Father’s Day Hubby got an early gift (thanks Sears!). A new Craftsman 255-piece Mechanics Tool Set. Now since Hubby is a mastered certified automotive technician (read a extremely well qualified mechanic) he actually has many of these tools at his work, but he needed to have a nice smaller set for here at home. This Craftsman set fits the bill nicely and really does make a great Father’s Day gift.
Hubby said this is a nice set for him to have it home. Lots of pieces he will use. He likes the case also, much sturdier than other plastic-type cases he has seen before. The fact that everything has its own place made him happy as well. He says he will know if
Taylor has taken something has mysteriously been removed. The only negatives he had to say about the set were that the set of midget wrenches were lesser quality (but they are for lighter work) and that he wishes all the sockets were 6 points instead of some of them being 12 points (umm, okay yeah Hubby whatever that means).
So what do you think? Do you know someone that this tool set would make a great gift for? While Father’s Day is a good occasion, it really is a year-round idea. If tools aren’t your guys thing, Sears has a really nice Father’s Day Gift Guide also where you are sure to find some other gift ideas.
Also, don’t forget about the current Sears Blue Tool Crew Father’s Day contest on Facebook. The grand prize is worth $30,000 for use in the community.
