STL Social Media Group Meetup at Ya Hala

Last night I went to my first event with the STL Social Media Group. I was excited to meet new friends, visit with old friends, and really excited to try out a new restaurant, Ya Hala (it means welcome). The meetup was small with just seven people, but we had a really nice time visiting, learning, and sharing. The food was plentiful and very yummy – especially the hummus! One the weekends Ya Hala has belly dancing also – the girl did a wonderful job and Jimmy and Keesha were the adventurous ones in our group and got up and danced as well! If you are in St. Louis consider joining the STL Social Media Group and also be sure to visit Ya Hala for sure. It is just off St. Charles Rock Road by 270 & 70 intersection.

    Wow, great photos and it sounds like you had a great time. Here I am in Canada as I have said before and I don’t know of anything even remotely similar here. It seems when I come to your site, my mouth is watering from food pics or descriptions, or I am tempted to try out interesting drink recipes…;0)

    I have never tried hummus..but I am up to trying new foods atleast once. The dancing looked like fun too. I’m glad you had a good time!

    mmmmmmmmmmmmm  I love Mediterranean food!  Hummus and pita and falafel yummers!  And belly dancing is SO fun to watch!  We used to have a place that did that in my little town but they went out of business.  We were so bummed!
