Bill Gates Is Better Than Batman [infographic]

This comes from FrugalDad. A nice infographic about the good work that Bill Gates has done. While he still has plenty of money left, I commend him on giving what he has as well as other wealthy people who give a lot. Remember, no one must give their money away (well taxes but that’s another story) so when they are very generous I appreciate it.

That is amazing! I have always had respect for Bill Gates and his wife for what they have done. What good is money when you don’t do something important and worthwhile with it? I have always been disturbed at the statistic that there is a very small % of people that have most of the wealth yet most don’t give to causes. Bill Gates has made a ton of money but he is clearly not greedy about it and that makes him deserving of respect. Kuddos to FrugalDad for such a great job with the  infographic. I am so not artistic (I draw stick people for art) so I am amazed when someone puts a piece like this together. Thanks so much for sharing it!!

I like Bill Gates and what he has done, but I have always wondered why he hasnt done more here in the US? He has done so much good elsewhere…. and yes I know you can give where you want.

I’ve seen Bill and Melinda interviewed a few times on Charlie Rose, along with Warren Buffet, talking about their charitable foundations and all the superfantastic work they do…incredibly impressive what they’ve accomplished. And they sweep everyone into their efforts, encouraging people to donate even a few dollars to help buy $5 sleeping nets to protect people from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. I wish more rising zillionaires, and non-zillionaires, would follow in their footsteps!

    That info-grahpic is SO beautiful!

I live in Omaha, home of Warren Buffet. I’ve always been a little hacked that he never does anything local with his money. Oh he has his annual meeting in the city, which is awesome. But none of it has been spent helping local or regional  charities, hospitals, etc. There are names on buildings in Omaha (and your city too, I’m sure) where the person sacrificed to donate the money in good faith.

Anyway, I have always admired what Bill and Malinda do.
