Keeping sheets organized
Ok, while this is a very clever tip, thanks again Mom for sharing it, I know I personally will never do it. Some of you are probably more organized around the house though and will love it. After you have folded your sheet sets and pillowcases, use one of the pillowcases to store the rest of the set in.

I’ve done this since college!  Although my sheets are not that neatly folded – those darn fitted sheets!

  • Ravzie

What a simple, but nifty idea!  I never thought of that!  I will start doing that right away, well, as soon as I reorganize the linen closet anyway.  Thank you for sharing!

I have never thought of that..and it looks so pretty.  I will be doing this from now on…thanks.  Now if I could just figure out how to fold the fitted sheets.

I have always done that although sometimes I use extra pillowcases to store the sets in (for some reason I have more cases!) It works really well!

why did i never think of this..awesome idea

Great Idea…I’m still trying to learn how to fold a fitted sheet though..so it probably would not look like the picture.

    I’d love that linen closet!
At this point there are 2 of us living here & I have 2 sets of sheets, 1 on the bed & 1 on the shelf in our bedroom closet.

I do use pillowcases to store quilts in the linen closet, so they’ll stack nicely. Sometimes I pin the case shut, other times I tie it closed with a pretty ribbon. My sister is a fan of the flannel sheets, so I store those in heavy zippered plastic bags, left over from purchased bedding items.

    Nice.

I feel better now to know that I’m not the only one who has a hard time folding those contour sheets into nice little bundles like the sheet sets shown here!  By the time I got them looking this neat, it would be time to change the sheets again.  LOL

I will never get a fitted sheet to fold that well!

It really does looks so much tidier and organized, but I too also wondered how on earth to fold the fitted sheet so well that it would fit in the pillowcase…Great idea though! I will pass it on for sure!

I can’t believe I never thought of that. My mind is blown. I don’t see how the sheets are that flat though being folded. Maybe iron the sheets so they’re flatter somehow?

this is genius! i haven’t accumulated enough linens to do this (or even have a worthwhile linen closet), but if/when I do…. LOVE this idea! (dealbunny20@gmail.com)

So simple, can’t believe something so obvious never occurred to me. Great tip!

One of the best suggestions I’ve ever seen.  Why didn’t I think of that?

My old roommate taught me this. Her mom had the tidiest, most pristine house, everything crisply in its place just like this.
Made me nervous just to sit on the sofa…I was afraid to squash the perfect pillows.  ;)

cool!  thats a good idea and so simple Im surprised more people dont do it!

  • Eileen Richter

What a great idea! I do keep them STACKED all together, but never put them in the cases. Makes such sense!
