My Sephora Purchases

So Danyelle dragged me (ok I was happy to go) to Sephora again today. Today I made my first purchases though. I bought some Sephora eyeliner, in black for $12. It goes on really well and I just noticed that it has the little spongy smudger on the other end – love that! My other purchases was finally a pair of Tweezerman tweezers that everyone on Twitter has been recommending to me for years now. I opted for the red ones – I love the color red. Right before I sat down to write this post I decided to try the tweezers out. OMG – they really are great tweezers! I was able to, in just one try, pluck a new pesky hair from my chinny-chin-chin (grrr) and I was also able to easily pluck a few stray eyebrows who were trying to have a party between my two eyes – sorry little guys, no unibrow look for me! The Tweezerman was $20 and worth every single penny!

What was your latest beauty item you purchased?

Disclosure: None, this was just a shopping trip on my own.

Sephora can become addictive, so I am sure this will be the first of many posts regarding your purchases. Welcome to the Beauty Insider Club! :)

Once you hit a certain status, you will be invited to the VIB (Very Important Beauty) Insider Club which gives you special perks, offers, and gifts that the regs don’t get. They are massive! And well worth all the money I spend there. LOL.

Sephora=my biggest weakness!  Im already planning my tax return shopping trip there! (but of course I’m going to use my tax return to pay off bills and that kind of important thing….hah yea right!)

Latest beauty item I purchased was hair color.

At Sephora I like the philosophy bath products – gingerbread bubble bath is fantastic!

I’d love to try these tweezers as well. My eyebrows really need a good pair. I finally found the Cover Girl powder I’ve been looking for at Wal-Mart since forever so I snatched that up over the weekend. 510 Classic Ivory. : ) abailey_crace at yahoo dot com

Angie – If you have the chance, try the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder instead of the Cover Girl powder – I think you will like it much more. I used Cover Girl for years and years – I can’t believe the difference with the Mineral Veil. It is more expensive, but it will also last a while.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve never tried Bare Minerals but I’ve always heard great things so I’ll have to check it out. : )

Anastasia tweezers, my splurge for $28 two years ago!

My last beauty purchase was hair coloring at CVS. Someday, I’ll get some decent tweezers. I’ve had good luck with a Sally Hansen pair that I got on clearance at Walgreen’s a year or so ago; I’ve found that the cheapies can wear out VERY quickly; might as well toss ‘em when they refuse to grab a slightly elusive hair and trade up…

I need a new pair of tweezers, I’ll have to check these out – I found them on Amazon :)

What makes these tweezers so different?  I have a few runaway eyebrows too, LOL.  I have to get them when they are teeny tiny, before anyone can see them.

Aubrey Organics Unscented Ultimate Moisturizing Lotion…smooth as silk, very mild pleasant scent, and the best possible lotion for sensitive skin.

I love Tweezerman tweezers – I keep an extra pair just in case.  I am so lost without them.

I don’t recall the last beauty type purchase I made…tis’ been a while I suppose. I too have heard of those tweezers but have not seen them here in Canada. Maybe I am not looking hard enough. I have seen Sephora gift cards online and didn’t really know what type of product they sold. Perhaps  they allow purchases online. I admit I have been doing a bit more online shopping and I love it! I will have to go check it out ;-)

I have been using tweezerman for over 15 years, ever since I found out Madonna used them..remember the thin eyebrow fad…here…they are wonderful and will never switch

I got my new tweezers today and I LOVE them!  I got the slant point ones, I think I’ll pick up a pair of the pointy ones too. Thanks for the recommendation!
