I started using the original blue Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch sponges a few years ago when I got my glass top stove. It came with a sample one and the saleswoman said that was the best thing to clean the stove top with. After that we also started using them for dishes too. Now they have the Greener Clean version!

This is still a Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch sponge, but this one is “greener” than the original blue sponge. 50% of the scrubbing fibers are made from the agave plant. 100% of the sponge is made from plant-based fibers and 23% is recycled – hmmm I guess they recycle the plant fibers? What I love too is that I can throw them in the dishwasher to sanitize them! One sponge for dishes lasts us a couple of weeks. The one that we use for the stovetop (we use one for each) lasts even longer. Yes, these are a little more expensive than other sponges, but they really are a value for the price you pay. I buy the multi-packs to save money.
We actually prefer the new “Greener Clean” (the tan ones) better than the original blue version. They seem more scrubby and just work a bit better for us.

This is a brand new sponge – the left is the scrubby side, you can see the fibers. The right is the softer side. It does not look as “pretty” out of the package as the blue sponge, but that’s ok.
Have you tried these sponges?
Disclosure: I did receive free samples of these sponges last year, but I have been buying them on my own now for a while. Opinions are always my own.
