Food Blogger Bake Sale in St. Louis April 28

This sounds fun, a food blogger bake sale to benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry program! The event in St. Louis will be April 28 at Sappington Market and they need not only food bloggers but also bakers (without blogs), volunteers to help run event, and EATERS – yes that’s you – stop by and buy something to eat if nothing else!

Across the country this is actually happening as well it seems – not sure if the dates are the same though.

P.S. I will be there to help out for a bit in the morning and be making a cake (from a box you know baking is not my strong suit). Stop by and say hello!

GREAT idea! I wonder though when SOMEONE will step in and not allow bake sales anymore, as they cant “control” what goes into foods and of course foods bought at stores have to be labeled with content. I have heard complaints considering the high number of people with food allergies. Ughh..So controlled our lives are anymore. What a wonderful community project to have hand to hand across the country. How can we find out if they are doing it in our area though? I might be able to bake, but for sure would buy something <3

When T was in elementary school we couldn’t send in any homemade items for the class, even as a room mother we couldn’t make things. It was a pain – and very expensive!
