Smartphone Battery Life Saver Tip

smartphonesA simple tip for you smartphone users. Go in and check the auto-lock (auto-off) settings for your phone. They usually offer time increments in minutes. By selecting the shortest time your phone will end up using less power and last longer on each charge!

This is a do as I say, not as I do tip. I’m one of those people who have it set to the longest time because I get annoyed when it’s off when I want to use. Goofy I know – but my battery life suffers for sure. When I am at all day events I try to change the setting though.

I will have more battery saving tips to come, stay tuned!

Did you go and check your setting yet? Why not? Go ahead, go check! Smile

It’s true – I usually have mine on autolock, but when my son was playing I took it off and forgot.  I couldn’t figure out why it was losing power so fast.

I hate to ask, but is the auto lock in settings? Or is this just for Iphones?

Good to know, I didn’t think of this at all.

I dont have one but my 2 older daughters and my husband have one. So will pass this one. But my hubby is really anal about his phone being charged. He even bought some new charging unit for the car so it takes a PLUG, in case the car charger fails. geeesh. But in his defense, needs for travel/work so is important I guess.  thanks!
