Father’s Day is this Sunday and sadly my dad is going out of town so I will not be able to celebrate with him. We plan on celebrating at a later date though. I am happy that he is traveling and having fun even if I cannot be with him on Sunday.
I asked my husband what he wanted to do for Father’s Day and he said he was going to visit with his own father for a bit in the morning and then he wanted to come home and grill something. Really? You want to cook on Father’s Day? He said yes, he really enjoys doing that. So I am sure I will help do the prep work and then relax with him as he grills and we will have a quiet meal at home with our son. If that makes him happy, I’m happy.
While Hubby helps me on my blog at times, he is not really a blogger. I wanted to give a nod to one of my fellow bloggers – but a dad blogger this time to celebrate Father’s Day. One of my favorite dad bloggers, and just a heck of a nice guy and really interesting, is TechyDad. I met him via Twitter (@TechyDad) quite some time ago and even had the chance to meet him in person at conference. Obviously he is into technology like me, but he also loves to cook too! I love that! On his blog he talks about these things and what I love most is that he talks so much about spending time with his kids and sharing their activities. He does this on Twitter as well. That speaks volumes to me on the type of dad he is.
