Dole sent us some samples of their new Real Fruit Bites recently. My son Taylor (17) first said he didn’t like them, but then he changed his mind and started gobbling them up – go figure. Hubby liked them right from the start. Me, well they weren’t a favorite of mine. For me it was the yogurt coating that I did not care for, but I do not like that on anything coated like that so it was not a surprise. What I did like is that they are 80-90 calorie packages which is great to keep with you for a quick snack. I also liked the fruit inside. They come in apple, mango, and pineapple and the dried fruit is a nice chewy texture which I think is more satisfying as a snack because you chew a little longer. They say they are sprinkled with toasted whole grain oats too but I didn’t notice that really. The retail price is $3.29 per bag and each bag has 6 individual pouches in it. That makes it about 55 cents per serving. Hubby and Taylor both said they would like me to buy more.
Do you think you will give these a try for yourself or your family?
