Happy National Donut Day

Mmmmm, donuts (remember moderation though). I love a glazed donut. My memories go back to my grandparents and Grandpa would go get a box of glazed donuts and we would sit in the kitchen eating them. He was a dunker – he really would dunk anything in his coffee, but I think glazed donuts were his favorite.

Celebrate and enjoy a donut today!

I forgot it was donut day- it was say a nice thing day too. I could say lots of nice things about donuts and the glazed sure look good! My fav memory is my Mother making homemade donuts and rolling them in sugar!

My first real job, besides babysitting, was at a little place called Sweet Memories and the owners made homemade ice cream and donuts. I used to stay late after my closing shift to watch them make donuts.

I love glazed donuts and it goes back to my grandparents as well, I lived with them til I was 7 so a ton of memories with them.

Krispy Kremes were a big (fat) part of my childhood. I have to stay away now, though. But they sure were tasty coming hot off the conveyer belt!

Odd thing… I am British and moved here two years ago and have yet to try an American donut! Its odd because back home everyone raves about how amazing the ones in America must be because you are the experts. I really need to persuade my Husband to take me to Krispy Kreme.

Krispy Kreme and Entenmann’s have the best donuts in my opinion. I love chocolate donuts, but glazed are good too.
