and this was NOT the loser

Are you all watching the new season of Project Runway? Last night was the candy challenge and the worst dress, in my opinion, was the one from Andrea. She didn’t even end up in the bottom three though – how did that happen?

Seriously? How is this fashion? She wanted to make an apron that someone working in an old fashioned candy store might wear – hence the hair also. I have no idea about the back – a bustle of some fabric? This was awful – Tim was right!

The winner I did agree with though – Ven did this dress making it look a bit like stained glass. The colors are broken up pieces of candy and the black is licorice. Amazing!

Did you agree with the judges in the candy challenge?

OMG!  I don’t watch the show, but my word, that first thing is just awful!  How could anyone think that would be attractive is beyond me.  But I totally agree that the stained glass one is very nice.  I love it and would be so happy to wear that little dress.

Oh, I dont know, I kinda like the unexpectedness of the back on the first one. I’d never ever actually wear something like that but it’s kinda cool. Different tastes for all different people though, that’s what makes life interesting :) thismomwins@gmail.com

The picture on the top really didn’t transform the candy.  Those are the button candy right?  The second one really did a great job transforming the candy into something unique.

I love the winning outfit! Very cute. I didn’t see the ones that ranked lower than that absurd apron thing, but I’m not sure how they could be worse than that. Yeesh!

  • Rosey

I’m not watching it this season, but I love the winning dress.  It is amazing.  The last time I watched Christian Siriano was on the show…and I loved the series…but yeah, it’s been awhile.  :)

i agree with the winning design

I don’t watch this show, but agree that the winning dress is great.  However…that model is frighteningly thin.  It looks like her two little tiny legs could break in half if she tripped and fell down.  Give that girl some food – and lots of candy!

  • Wanda McHenry

Fashion, no. I’m not sure who or why you would want to look like a a swirl pop!

  • Lexiquin

I’v never seen the show, but I agree with you on both points!

I dont watch the show but do catch parts of it while changing channels and stop and look. The top one looks like a Halloween costume. The bottom one although I would say it is OK, is modeled by a stick woman and I do not think it would be a very attractive dress in anything but in a -5 (or whatever childs size that young lady wears) Give her a candy bar stat.

  • D Schmidt

I do not watch it either but I also agree!

I don’t watch the show but the wining dress is beautiful. If the first dress wasn’t at the bottom three, I hate to see what the losers look like. That first dress is horrific

I don’t watch the show but I love the winning dress!

I don’t even watch the show, but that first dress was a mess.  It didn’t even look like a “real” dress, it was very disjointed.  I made better Barbie dresses when I was 9 years old.    I loved the colors and stained glass look of the second dress, and agree it should have won.

So strange to think of wearing a dress made from food though.

I used to be a loyal viewer of Project Runway, but I kinda forgot about it. But the second dress is amazing. It’s amazing what creative people can do something as simple as candy.

Yeah cool stain glass look. alucky13 at hotmail dot com

Andrea should have ended up in the bottom three for that horrible dress. The winning dress – gorgeous! I like the colors, and it would have been interesting in deeper colors, too.. blues, purple, crimson..

I can kinda see where the apron idea was going, but I’m with you. That back is just a hot mess and looks like it was done as a last minute “oh no, I’m out of time” idea. The stained glass-like dress is pretty awesome, but I know that I’d never look good in anything these talented people come up with. I don’t really understand fashion but love watching Project Runway. I went school in a town where one of the PR finalists opened a shop; Kayne Gillaspie. He was so nice!
