Energizer Flameless Wax Candles and Max Batteries plus GIVEAWAY

in Reviews & Giveaways

This is one of my favorite items I learned about at BlogHer ‘12. While I really love candles, I have to be really careful because my cats, well just one of them (Lottie), has caught her tail on fire – twice!  For that reason if I want the ambiance of candles I really like the idea of the newer flameless candles. However, they all are not created equally.

See this photo? Both are flameless style candles – they run on batteries. Which one looks the most realistic though? The one on the right does by far! It is one of the new Energizer Flameless Wax Candles. Not only does the shape make it look better, but the glow is better and flickers more like a real candle. Energizer has a great line-up of different sizes, colors, and scents of the Flameless Wax Candles.

Another thing I love about these is that they have the on/off switch, but also a timer switch. If you put it on timer you can then select 4, 6, or 8 hours for it to stay on. This is fabulous to be able to turn them on in the evening and not have to worry about turning them off before bed.

As I said, the candles use batteries instead of a real flame. The new Energizer Max batteries will hold power for up to 10 years when not in use. I love this! I have been an Energizer fan forever, so I am always excited when they have products that will last longer because frankly, batteries can be kind of expensive. I think the Energizer Bunny must have gotten a new contract and insisted on even longer hold time for his power LOL!

The energizer candle would be safer in the bedroom, for sure–I keep a candle on my nightstand, and I often worry that I will fall asleep with it lit…

This would be great most anywhere. I am basically afraid of actual candles and the possibility of a flame coming about. I have young nieces and nephews in my home and these would be so much better.

A flameless candle would be safer for me to use anywhere in my house. The dangers: with 9 cats, there’s always a little cat hair floating around that could catch fire; with 9 cats, there’s always a chance a little cat will knock over a burning candle or try to play with it and burn their feet or whiskers; my husband is allergic to anything that smells, and smoky smells are among the worst for him.

If I won this, it would go smack dab in the middle of my living room, where I wouldn’t have to worry about my cats’ tails meeting the same fate as your Lottie’s! ;-)

  • deb c

It would be safer to use the flameless candles in my house everywhere. I love candles, but, have cats and now I never burn real candles. I’m so afraid the cats will knock them over.

I guess they’d be safer in the bedroom or living room, because in the summer, we usually have ceiling fans going, and I don’t light any traditional candles in the summer. Also, I really don’t like most of the soot and wick-trimming that one has to do with traditional candles; they can get sooooooo messy.

Required Entry: The Energizer Flameless Wax Candle would be safer than a traditional candle in my son’s room! When I read what you said about it having a timer, I thought “that would make a great night light for my son”. Aside from fire concerns, hot wax is dangerous and worrisome.

This would be safer on my kitchen table because of a cat, and dogs who are tempted to see what’s on the table.

With 3 cats, we rarely burn candles even though I love them. They would be most helpful in the livingroom at night when we are watching a movie

I would have to say anywhere in my house would be safer. I have little grandchildren around all the time and I don’t light candles that ofter in fear one of them might tip one over or put something on top of it.

Flameless Candles allow to have it all: beauty, scent and ambiance together with safe and clean environment. These are alternative to dangerous and costly open flames. These Flameless Candles flicker like the real thing.

I do have 1 but as you said between everything that uses batteries in my house and being disablled on a fixed income with 2 little ones its hard to keep up on them, I love them because it is just me and them and if they do get knocked over no big deal , also i love to have them around if the lights go out , which have happened just wish i could keep up on the batteries ,so when i do need them i have them, and like i said i only have one and enjoy it but if one has to go to the bathroom there goes your light lol.
