Mad Libs books and bandages

I think Mad Libs are ___(adjective)____ fun! Growing up in __(place)___ we always had plenty of Mad Libs around everywhere. I remember playing with ___(name of person)____ on the ___(noun)___ bus after school. We laughed so hard we almost ___(verb)____ our pants!

As you can see from above, I really do like Mad Libs and grew up with them. I still love them as an adult. They are always just a fun way to spend a few minutes. Keep a pad of Mad Libs on your desk, in the car, in the kitchen drawer, and wherever else you can think of for spur of the minute laughter. These are also fabulous for helping kids (and adults) learn and remember their parts of speech. When we homeschooled we used Mad Libs regularly as part of practice for grammar.

When I was at the Sweet Suite event in NYC a couple of weeks ago they gave me the Sleepover Party Mad Libs book plus some fun Ouchies Mad Libs bandages! Hubby is modeling a bandage for you in the pic – as you can see they are kind of large, but still fun. They come with a marker, but it does not write well so use something different (and write on it before you put it on your owie). Extra fun for when you get a cut or a scrape to make it feel all better.

Wow, this is a blast from the past! I remember doing Mad Libs in junior high school, when we were supposed to be doing our class work. I think that my kids would get a kick out of this but they would need some adult help. Of course, the huge bandages would be a hit!

I can remember getting a couple of Mad Libs books at the book fair in elementary school. My cousins and I rode the school bus to my great-grandma’s after school and we spent the entire afternoon on one of the books I bought!

Mad Libs were possibly the only thing (well, and Travel Connect Four:) that kept me and my brother from killing each other on road trips when we were kids!
