Dad in the 70s

How is this for a blast from the past? This is my dad back in the seventies. It looks like he was starting to fix dinner. How many ultra-seventies things can you spot in this photo?

I think the entire picture reflects 70s- well except for the pork chops- and if we could see the price likely that does too! Isnt it amazing how young parents looked in old pics?

He does look so young there and he has so much hair! By the way he probably still has that shirt – he doesn’t throw things away

Ah yes, The Seventies. I love the curtains:) I have pics wherein my dad looks pretty much the same.. down to the flannel and cigarette (and for my dad, a HUGE mustache.) We also had similar cabinets and the same blender (which weighed about 1000 lbs..they don’t make ‘em like that anymore..)

My dad sometimes wore a beard and mustache too. You are right, those blender bases weighed a ton!

The blender is iconic and the yellow (excuse me, Harvest Gold) and orange cups scream 70′s to me.

That is classic! I think my mom had those exact same containers on her kitchen counter too! I love it.

The only thing I don’t think I see is an incense burner. :)
