Apple Butter Festival in Kimmswick, Missouri This weekend is the annual Apple Butter Festival in Kimmswick, Missouri. This is south of St. Louis in Jefferson County and an easy short drive. Kimmswick is a small historic town on the banks of the Mississippi River. During the annual festival there is, of course, fresh apple butter which is so good you will want to put it on everything you eat – buy plenty! Members of the Kimmswick Historical Society actual demonstrate making the apple butter for visitors. In addition there are hundreds of vendor booths with crafts and foods and live entertainment. While you are down that way you should consider visiting Mastodon State Park as well – the kids will love it!

That sounds so fun! There is a Peanut Butter festival in Brundige Alabama (near where I live) this weekend. Autumn festivals are great!

I have never had apple butter. I’m not that fond of apple flavored things. I wonder if they make cherry butter at the cherry festival?

I wish we had things like this in Dallas. If anyone knows of something similar, please reply. My niece and nephew live with me and I’d love to take them to something like this.
