Musical Toy Gifts for Toddlers

Since my nephew Colby still can’t read, I think I am okay sharing these toys I have for him for Christmas. One of his little friends has this B. Woofer Hound Dog Guitar and Colby loves it. I told his mom I would get this for him then so he would have his own. It really is so cute. They can set it to acoustic or electric sounds or dog sounds even where it howls and barks. Plus, it looks just darn cute! While I was at Target to pick this up, two other people, both with little ones in the cart, said they have this toy and it is a favorite of their children too. This is suggested for ages 2 and up. Regular price is $22.99

While I was picking up the guitar today, I saw other musical toys from the same line. I ended up purchasing the B. Parum Pum Pum Drum for Colby also at Target. I love that this is a drum itself, but it is also filled with more percussion instruments and accessories including drumsticks, maracas, tambourine, and more. The age range for this is 18-24 months. On Target’s website this has 5 star ratings in all categories too. Regular price is $21.99

Most kids really love making music and these are great ways to encourage their appreciation of music. I’m sure Colby will enjoy both of these (plus the other stuff I get him).

Do you have any little ones to buy gifts for that like making music?

I love that the guitar howls and barks! Unfortunately, we don’t have any toddlers on our list this year. But I’m sure little ones would love this.

My twin nephews would love those drums! They make music out of everything. Today is free shipping day for lots of retailers, too, so it might be a good day to check for deals….

My LO has a passion for music & dogs. Never saw this B. Woofer Hound Dog Guitar. This will make a great Santa surprise. Going to see if we can get it in time to put under the tree.

Those are both so very cute!! I have never purchased my nieces or nephews any toys that make noise because I am always afraid it will tick off the parents! LOL But I just love these and do feel that music is very important for childhood development!

I love musical toys and dog toys! My favorite toy when I was little was a plastic Lassie. I’ve got a real Lassie now, LOL. My nieces and nephews are older than this range now, but I like these toys.

I dislike electronic sounds so much that I consider those cruel and unusual punishment for parents, so I do not give them as gifts. However, I love the sound of children playing, even playing noisily, and have given various percussion sets, xylophones, etc. over the years.

My two-year-old son loves toys that make music. He has the Sesame Street keyboard and Elmo with drums. These toys look fun, and I’m sure he’d love them too!

Thanks for sharing! These gifts would be great for any child. The benefits of music are well proven and documented by many health professionals. In addition, they are just plain fun!

I hope Colby liked his gifts. When my children were little, we loved music making toys. We had our little band. But no little ones to buy for this year.
