Clever gift wrap idea from mom

Today we celebrated my nephew, Colby, turning two! Time sure goes fast. We had a party at the park with all of the family and it was a wonderful time.

My mom once again was so clever in her gift wrapping. I cannot believe how many ideas she comes up with. This one is really easy and even if you think you are not a good wrapper, you can do this one.

She simply wrapped the gift in a solid color gift wrap, red in this case. Since it was a large package she bought a simple Happy Birthday banner from her local dollar store. Mom chose a race car theme banner because that was the theme of Colby’s birthday party. Simply take the letters off the banner ribbon/string and tape onto the package! So cute and so easy! Thanks Mom for another great idea.

Here are a few pictures of Colby opening the gift. He loved it, it was a Vtech Alphabet Train and it was one of those gifts that he wanted to play with right away. It did need put together though so we will have to wait and see it all together another time.

Happy birthday Colby!

I wish I could think of things like that, I’m not crafty enough, but my mom is. She can turn anything into something amazing.

Thanks for sharing such a creative idea. We often buy those signs in a variety of sayings. I will definitely do this. Here we can also buy just the letters to customize our own signs, I am going to do this for the packages we send to our troops.

I am a little like your Mom and love to make gifts look extra special with a creative wrapping. Tell her thanks for this creative idea!

Your mom is very creative. If it was my son who got that gift it would have been the first one he chose to open

What a clever way to decorate a package. I often see those banners at the dollar tree. This could be done for any age, not just children. Thanks for sharing another great and creative idea that is so easy for anyone to do! Happy Birthday to Colby!
