Less Guilty Mojito

Happy weekend! For this week’s cocktail I’ve got a great less guilty mojito recipe for you to try.  It uses one of my favorite mixer beans,  Sparkling ICE. I love these because they are zero calories, come in lots of flavors,  and are very inexpensive!

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces Lemonade Sparkling ICE
  • 1 ounce white rum
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Lime

Directions:

In glass add rum and a few mint leaves and muddle. This just means smash the mint leaves up a bit,  wooden spoon is great tool to use if you don’t have a muddler. Now you can strain this into a glass of ice or just pour it all in including muddled mint. I prefer to leave the mint in. Top with the Lemonade Sparkling ICE. Garnish with lime wedge and fresh mint leaf.

White rum usually will be around 65 calories per ounce. The Sparkling ICE is 0 calories.

    I prefer fruity drinks to minty ones, but I would certainly try this. I have been meaning to try those Sparkling ICE drinks on their own too.

    I havent tried a mojito, about the closest I have come is the dink mixes and for the life of me I dont recall the name. The drink doesnt sound too bad though.

    I love ICE drinks, and never really thought about incorporating them into an alcoholic recipe. I will have to try this. Pinning it. Only 65 calories…YUM!
