Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet for Verizon

Thanks to Verizon, as a #VZWBuzz Lifestyle Ambassador, I have had a Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet to use for a few months now. This is a fabulous device and today I thought I would share a few of my favorite features about the 2520. Make sure to read this full post to find out how you can win one yourself!

VZWBuzz Influencers and their new Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablets

This is at one of our meetings where some of my fellow #VZWBuzz ambassadors were setting up their Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets for the first time.

The tablet on its own is awesome, but it is super awesome once you add the Nokia Power Cover to it. I highly suggest that if you are getting this tablet you spend a little extra and get this accessory. It is a keyboard, cover, easel, and extra battery all in one! Nokia Lumia 2520 Power Cover

  • Windows Operating System

This is a huge plus for me because I use the Windows operating system on my desktop, laptop, and even my phone plus it integrates so easily even with my Xbox. While it is possible to connect devices with different operating systems together, having them all in the same environment means no extra effort is needed. For regular readers, you know that before I became a #WindowsChampion I was already a huge Microsoft Windows fan.

  • Battery Life

I use my tablet a lot when I travel, especially on the airplane and in airports. I can go all day on a single charge with the tablet itself. On top of that, the power keyboard has another battery in it which gives you an extra five hours of battery life! That means I can steadily use the 2520 all day without any problems. The tablet charges up to 80% in just one hour also which means when I do need to plug in it is not for long. There is just one charger for both the tablet and keyboard – you dock the tablet in the keyboard and plug it in. The tablet will charge first, and then the keyboard. When in use, the keyboard battery discharges first and then the tablet.  *Bonus Giveaway Code: Enter the word “battery” on the giveaway post for another extra entry!

  • Great Display

The screen size is 10.1” and has a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). Corning Gorilla Glass 2 makes it durable and it has “enhanced outdoor readability” which means if I take it out on the patio here at home or on the deck at the lake house I can still see my screen outside.

  • Connectivity

I try out lots of different devices and gadgets regularly so I love that the 2520 has a micro USB 3.0 port! I can also use Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC for pairing and sharing between devices. If I want to plug in audio devices there is a standard 3.5mm audio jack on the side. Then there is also a micro HDMI port. Even better is that with the Nokia Power Cover you add two traditional USB ports on the back which means I can easily add a wireless mouse, my Mophie charger, charge up other devices, sync other devices and so much more.

  • Portability

I take a lot of business trips that are just two or three days. Lately, I just take my tablet with me and am able to get my work done on this. It is sooooo much nicer than carrying a heavier laptop in my bag also. My shoulder really loves this tablet. Plus it fits easily in my purse for when I travel or even when I’m just around town at home.

win a nokia lumia 2520 tabletThis is not all of the great features of the Nokia 2520, but they are the big important things that stand out for me and how I have been using it so far. The pricing (as of the day I’m writing this) is $499 at Verizon and $399 at the Microsoft Store (for the Verizon version). The $400 price tag is well worth it to me. The Nokia Power Keyboard is $149 at both places and really still keeps both this amazing accessory and the tablet at a great price and value I think. It really is an amazing product and a tablet that I use daily and recommend often to others.

Oh, and just in case you did not already know, I am giving away a Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet here on my blog! Just commenting on this post gets you an entry even. You can read the full details about the giveaway and how to get more entries on the giveaway page.

Have you tried the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet? Would you consider this tablet? Why or why not? Do you have any questions that I can answer about the 2520?

my daughter is thinking about getting a tablet… far more portable than a laptop

I have not tried nor heard of this tablet. Yes, I would definitely consider it especially with the keyboard feature and the Windows Operating System. That is one reason I don’t use my iPad unless I absolutely have to.

I would definitely consider this tablet. The Windows operating system, connectivity, and battery life all seem like great features. Thanks for sharing all the details and photos.

I have considered one for ease of use around the house, I thought it would be handy for copying recipes, etc. My only concern was the keyboard option but you answered that for me.

It was definitely a match for the Surface Pro 2, but the Surface Pro 3 is stiff competition.
