Another one of these great holidays is upon us. Today is National Mojito Day! Woohoo, I’m happy to celebrate that. I love a good classic mojito but I am finding I enjoy a lot of the newer twists on mojitos as well. This week’s cocktail recipe is a Pineapple Mojito. Doesn’t than sound refreshing? Thanks to Ole Smoky Moonshine for sharing this recipe today – we love their moonshine in our house!

Pineapple Mojito Recipe to celebrate National Mojito Day (July 11) | RobynsOnlineWorld.com

Pineapple Mojito

  • 1 cup Ole Smoky Pineapple Moonshine
  • 1 bunch fresh mint (stems discarded)
  • 2 limes (each cut into 8 wedges)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup club soda

Muddle the sugar, mint, and lime in the bottom of a glass. Pour pineapple moonshine and club soda and serve. Garnish with limes and pineapple wedges. Makes 4 servings.

If you are unfamiliar with moonshine, it is simply white whiskey. The moonshine sold in stores is not the same thing as what moonshiners make in the woods. The stuff sold in stores has to meet regulations and such.

Sometimes, a mojito really hits the spot. I’ve had a lot of different flavors, but never had pineapple – I want one now!

I’m not normally a mojito fan, but I do like your recipe with the pineapple…and your cocktail photos are always terrific!

I was hoping I didn’t have to go into the back country to pick up some moonshine. :) This is the first time I have heard white whiskey called moonshine. But I do have to say this drink does sound very refreshing. I love the pineapple twist. Thanks for sharing!
