Happy Independence Day! Show your patriotic side today by trying one of these red, white, or blue cocktails – or heck, one of each even! Thanks to Cîroc for sharing these recipes with me.

Red Berry Sangria

  • 1 ounce Cîroc Red Berry
  • 1 ounce Rose Wine
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 2 ounces Berry Tea

Mix ingredients together and serve over ice in a wine glass. Garnish with fresh berries and lemon wedges.

White Peach

  • 1 ounce Cîroc Peach
  • 1 1/2 ounces Ginger Ale

Simply pour, stir, and serve over ice!

Cîroc Blue

  • 1 ounce Cîroc Vodka
  • 5 ounces Blue Curacao
  • 1/4 ounce Grapefruit Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup

Add ingredients to cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Shake and then strain into champagne flute.

Which of these sounds the best to you? How are you celebrating 4th of July?

I have got to try making the Red Berry Sangria. It sounds delicious. My friend is obsessed with sangria, so I will have to share this with her. Happy 4th to you and your family!

Our town is silly. I swear it never shoots fireworks on the 4th so ours is tomorrow. The badeball park shot firecrackers off though. I didnt see that one and spent the evening handing out here calming the animals. I like the blue drink-it’s pretty!

The poor little animals I always feel bad for on 4th of July. I know my cats were home alone and my Lottie and Ozzie both do not like the booms and bangs. They were very happy to see me when we got home.

Balance your spiritual energy and get in harmony with your soul by practicing these Radha-Krishna meditations.

Sri Gita Govinda

-A book written in the 12th century, this is a description of the intimate loving affairs of Radha and Krishna

Govinda Lilamrta

-An 400 year old book which poetically describes the eternal daily pastimes of Radha and Krishna

Ananda Vrindavan Campu

-This is probably the most poetic and intimate portrayal of Sri Krsna’s life in Vrndavana that has ever been written.

Prayers of Service to Radha and Krishna (Sankalpa Kalpadruma)

Prema Samputa The Treasure Chest of Love

And the following four are taken from Visvanath Cakravarti’s Camatkara Candrika, a 300 year old scripture that talks about the love meeting of Radha and Krishna:

The Meeting in the Box

The Meeting of Sri Krishna Disguised as a Female Doctor

The Meeting of Sri Krishna Disguised as a Female Singer

The Meeting of Sri Krishna Disguised as Abhimanyu

And lastly, we have a very amazing scripture which describes the 24 hour daily loving affairs of Radha and Krishna in Vrindavan, called Bhavanasara Sangraha. This book is now available on Amazon for Kindle, for only $3.49

Here is a 41 page sample of Bhavanasara Sangraha:

The above book can also be read on your PC using Amazon Kindle for PC, download here for free:

The Red Berry Sangria sounds best to me. We had some great strawberry shortcakes yesterday. I hope you enjoyed the holiday!
