Last week I told you that The Sims™ 4 launch was near, well it is finally here! Here is my little happy Sims family, Hubby, T, and me! You can get The Sims™ 4 now at Walmart, just look in the computer games section in the electronics department. A huge thanks again to #CollectiveBias for asking me to participate in this campaign, it is so much fun playing with the smarter Sims who are more emotionally-aware, the in-game sharing, new creative tools, and living in more vibrant neighborhoods! My family new I was working on this and they were excited when the game finally launched and I went to Walmart to pick up a copy for us to play.
WIN SOMETHING! Be sure to enter the SIMify yourself Facebook Contest here: https://www.facebook.com/simifyyourself. Everyone in the family loves playing The Sims but it has been a while since we used a computer for it so it is taking a little getting used to the controls plus all the cool new features. T is always the best at the game, he is very creative and really can create a great story line.
We all love the new ability to be a part of the wider community and share our characters, houses, and events with others. There is an entire community of Sims players out there ready to connect with all of us. T has been a fan of MMORPG games for many years so this new feature really clicks for him.
We are all working on building our family using just the one computer, taking turns. I’ve been playing around with it first and don’t laugh at my crazy oddball shaped house. Remember, it has been a little while and I’m learning the controls although I must admit I do like crazy houses. One of the first things I had to do was pick a computer out – yes even in the game I’m on the computer a lot. Hubby thought this was hilarious!
We all have picked out different traits and characteristics for each of our Sims. One of my traits is that I like to cook. I’m starting off small here, but I made my first meal in the game, a nice healthy salad. Hubby joked that I am even working on keeping my Sim healthy like I am myself in real life.
Exploring the worlds with the family it was interesting to see which parts we each liked the most individually and as a family. We all loved this little park area as it reminded us of our favorite park in our own neighborhood where they have a little garden path area that we visited all the time when T was younger. We need to go do that again soon.
Here is our little Sim family hanging out together and chatting. Now that T has moved back home with us we are able to do this a lot more often again. Hubby and I are headed to the lake this weekend so T will have some extra time to really work on his Sim and our family house and such. It will be interesting to see what he has come up with by the end of the weekend. Playing the game altogether again reminds me of how we used to play it together more often. It is really fun having a family “project” that we all work on as individuals but still have that unified effort at the same time.
Oh, a cheat code for The Sims™ 4 you all to use when you play to get lots of money. While you are in the game press Control+Shift+C and a small command line will pop up towards the top of your screen. Enter “motherlode” to get $50,000, you can do it over and over again. You’re welcome and enjoy spending!
