Wordless Wednesday – Philadelphia

I am in Philadelphia today at a blogging event but had a chance to see a few things yesterday when I got into town. After dinner last night I was thrilled when I learned the Liberty Bell was just down the street! This was a very exciting moment for me to see this icon of United States History! The other pictures are Independence Hall and Signers Square Park. Hopefully I will be able to come back to Philly again to actual tour the city and see more of the history.

Have you been to Philadelphia? What is your favorite thing there?

I’ve been to Philly & seen the Bell, but the display wasn’t so elaborate as it is now! Phun city ;-)

They said after 9/11 they changed the Liberty Bell display I believe.

I’ve never been to Pennsylvania…it’s on my to go to list. It would be so hard to do it in such a short trip when you don’t have time to explore. Ah the challenges of work travel.

Agreed, I would love to have more time to explore cities when I travel for work but usually do not. Luckily the hotel was right by these things so I was able to at least see a few.

I have been to Philadelphia; I loved seeing Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. It’s such a historic city. My friend used to work at UPenn, so we walked around that campus a lot too. Enjoy your visit!

It was a very short visit but I told Hubby we need to go together just for a vacation trip to see all of the historic sites.

Nope we have never been to Philadelphia. That is one area of the country I would love to see. I would like the history and everything that goes with it. Is the Liberty bell as big as it looks in pictures? Hope youre having a great time!

It really is a big bell. I couldn’t get any closer since it was around midnight and everything was closed.
