Get and Give the Best Gifts from Best Buy This Christmas

I have two young adults in my home and several more in my family who I will be shopping for at Best Buy for some of their most wanted holiday gifts. They know I (Mom, Aunt Robyn, Cousin Robyn) love tech myself and that I understand their need for tech gifts. This being the #HintingSeason I am getting a lot of direct and not so direct hints they want. When I head to Best Buy in a few days to do my Christmas shopping I know that I will be able to get everything I need in one stop at great prices. Here are a few of the items I am considering giving this holiday season.

Music related gifts are hot! Bluetooth speakers are on just about everyone’s list. I have some JBL items myself. The speakers are small and portable but have a great sound and I love the colors available. The JBL earbuds are another great option since they are sweat proof and would be great for the fitness freaks on my Christmas list.

JBL Charge 2 – Between the twin passive radiators for deep bass, the massive 6000mAh battery and the hands-free conference speakerphone the key benefit is the Bluetooth Social Mode which allows up to three different users to take their turns to play their own playlists on a single speaker.

JBL Flip 2 – Aside from the dual performance-tuned JBL drivers and a built-in bass port, the key benefit of the JBL Flip 2 is the SoundClear echo and noise cancellation combined with the state-of the art microphone system to pick up calls on the speaker. DEAL ALERT! As of today, 12/06/14, this is $10 off at Best Buy PLUS you also get a $10 Best Buy Gift Card with purchase!

JBL Reflect Earbud headphonesSweat proof ergonomic design.  With a 5 hour rechargeable battery and a reach of about 40 feet, the JBL Reflect BT’s key benefit is the design of the ergonomic eartips along with the built-in magnets which keep your buds on standby without loose cables.

Tom Tom GO 50 S GPS

GPS units are still a hot gift item. While some new cars have GPS built in, not everyone I know is driving a new car. While smartphones have GPS technology available, not everyone I know has a smartphone or if they do they try to keep their data usage low. GPS units from Garmin and TomTom are both extremely helpful to anyone who drives to new places or takes road trips regularly. I’m not saying who on my holiday list I am considering this for (because they may read my blog) but I know that they will love it if I give this to them as a Christmas gift.

Garmin 52LM & Garmin 2597LMT GPS Units both have a lot of the same great features. The price difference is about $50 between them but if you can fit it into your holiday budget I would go for the 2697LMT model since it has built-in Bluetooth, 3D Map Mode, and Voice Recognition.

TomTom Go 50s GPS Unit

Ok, there is a chance that Santa may be putting this Xbox One under the tree for me! We still love playing video games plus the Xbox One is a home entertainment device as well. This would be a great family Christmas gift too because it has games for all ages, movies, TV shows, music, and more all in one.

Xbox One was built by gamers, for gamers. With the best exclusive titles (Halo, Sunset Overdrive), the biggest blockbusters (Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty) the hottest sports franchises (Madden 15, FIFA 15, NBA 2K15) and top family titles (Fantasia: Music Evolved, Just Dance 15, Skylanders) Xbox One takes gaming to a whole new level.

In addition to being a great gaming console, Xbox one connects consumers unlike any other device.  Xbox One enables access to the latest TV shows and movies through your favorite apps.  With Xbox One all of your media is at your fingertips when you want it.

Would any of these gift ideas from Best Buy be happily received by someone, including yourself, on your Christmas shopping list? Which ones?

I would love to check out the JBL Charge 2…and the JBL Flip 2 seems great too. Thanks for the deal alert.
We just put up our Christmas tree, so I’m ready to place some wrapped gifts underneath it!

I enjoy shopping at Best Buy

I could really use a new GPS (I hope Santa is reading the comments.)
That being said, the last few times at Best Buy I had to fight off the people selling DirecTV – very annoying.

My husband is like a kid in the candy store every time we go in there. He loves to just go and see what is new. He has been looking for a new Bluetooth for his car. So who knows what he will buy next time he’s there. I could end up with a new fridge. Lol

Since this gamer gal is systemless for the holidays as I had give up my Wii U, I’d like the XBox. I’ve actually never had one. Plus my goal for 2015 is to be all Windows and Microsoft from a Surface Pro 3, Lenovo Yoga Pro 3, HTC M8 Windows to XBox One. #windowsgeekgirl
