Better Than Sliced Bread - A Homemade Bread and Roll Recipe Collection | RobynsOnlineWorld.com

Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh bread baking? It always makes a home feel some warm and cozy to me. My mom only occasionally made fresh bread when I was growing up but when she did it was an event. We all wanted a slice fresh out of the oven with fresh butter schmeered on it to melt into all the nooks and crannies.

Today I put together a collection of homemade bread and roll recipes on Foodie.com (disclosure – I am compensated for doing the collection) of bread recipes I plan on trying and even a few that I probably will not attempt but maybe someone I know will bake for me since baking is not always my strongest area. There is a combination of breads, rolls, sweet and savory, easy and more complex in the collection.

I would most want to eat the recipe for Chocolate Cacao Nib Banana Bread…and I would be most likely to try making the recipe for Pumpkin Swirl Bread, since I love baking with pumpkin. Great collection!

I will have to try the no knead dinner rolls. I have never made any type of bread that didn’t require kneading so I am quite curious.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE any bread that doesn’t require kneading on my part – I’m a lazy baker

mmmmmmmmmmmm I love bread. I would not make any of these because I hate to cook LOL but I would most like to eat the chocolate coconut scones! :-D

I agree, I love bread. I eat far less of it as I used to but when there is a really special bread I always try it still.

Speaking of your special needs diet, how is your after surgery weight loss going? Have you reached your goal?

8 Robyn Wright January 19, 2015 at 6:02 pm

Not reached a goal – but it’s a work in progress :-)

9 AngelaLilly January 20, 2015 at 7:38 am

Good for you! Sending you good energies to help you reach that goal! :-D

I would want to try the copycat Hawaiin bread. I love that bread but it is kind of expensive.I would make rolls and do sliders! yum!

11 Robyn Wright January 15, 2015 at 6:32 pm

Those Hawaiian rolls are so good making ham and cheese sliders on – OMG!

You are so right about the smell of bread baking. It’s such a wonderful smell! I have got to try the Brown and Serve Rolls. I love that you can make them ahead of time and freeze them for up to a month!

13 Robyn Wright January 16, 2015 at 5:01 pm

I loved that too @coupontammy:disqus Buying the premade brown and serve can be expensive these days!

I love bread and make it all the time. Your collection looks wonderful. Especially those Peppercorn Potato bagels.

15 Robyn Wright January 16, 2015 at 5:01 pm

Any tips for the aspiring bakers reading this post and thread?

16 Nicolthe pickle January 17, 2015 at 6:25 am

Hmm, I have lots of tips. For the person who hasn’t made a yeast recipe and wants to.
It’s not nearly as hard as it looks. Bread is super easy to make, and you’ll be so proud of yourself when you’re done.

Thanks @nicolthe_pickle:disqus!

I love baking bread! I already had a couple of these saved. I just added the potato sourdough. I am definitely going to make those next week.

19 Robyn Wright January 16, 2015 at 5:02 pm

Wonderful! Please let me know how it turned out for you!

I love the smell, taste and feel of fresh baked bread :). I am such an addict. I think the bacon and cheese focaccia bread sounds to die for.

21 Robyn Wright January 17, 2015 at 3:11 pm

You know, you are right, fresh bread even feels nice!

22 Leela January 17, 2015 at 2:41 pm

Today is bread day! I’m making cinnamon rolls, cinnamon twists and mini bagel dogs (with little smokies). I’d most likely make the Olive Oil Challah With Prefermented Dough. I made something similar last week to serve with my fried peppers and cheese. I’ve never tried a Bacon and Cheese Focaccia Bread before. I usually make mine with tomatoes or tomatoes and black olives.

Oh my! I’m coming to your house @disqus_nwuGKICPqb:disqus!

I have been wanting to try and make bread, something I have felt was too hard. I really would love to try the Bacon and Cheese Focaccia Bread recipe, looks and sounds so good, may have to give it a try.

25 Robyn Wright January 18, 2015 at 6:38 pm

Please let me know how it goes if you try the recipe!

26 shellypeterson January 26, 2015 at 2:39 am

I have always wanted to make home made bread but never have. The copy cat Hawaiian rolls and the Olive Oil Challah With Prefermented Dough looks super yummy!

Best small appliance that I purchased is my bread maker, I’ve been making homemade bread, cinnamon dough rolls and pizza dough with it, life is good with homemade bread, thank you for more great bread recipes.

28 Robyn Wright February 17, 2015 at 12:59 pm

I had a bread machine for several years, but then wasn’t using it so I got rid of it. I wish I still had it now!

29 ginette4 February 18, 2015 at 12:33 pm

Robyn you should check thrift stores..I’ve seen many there and not expensive at all, less than $10

30 Robyn Wright March 22, 2015 at 2:14 pm

Great idea @ginette4:disqus – I will keep an eye out!
