word game apps for androids

Word games have always been a favorite of mine. Today I am sharing four of my latest finds of word games for Android devices. I play all of these on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. These are all free games, but all have advertisements in them. Luckily the advertisements are not too annoying. The last three games are not the prettiest of games to look at but I like that they have multiple challenge levels and I enjoy the type of game they are so I can overlook the design.

Pressed for Words

This game gives you a set of six letters and you have to find all of the words that can be made from those in the allotted time. For clues they provide the blanks for each word so you can see how many letters each has.

Codeword Unlimited

This game provides a board like an empty crossword puzzle but instead of using words to solve the puzzle you have to figure out the code of which letters go in which spots that form complete words. When you use a letter in one spot it will fill in all the other spots connected to the same letter.

Jigsaw Crossword

For this game they have taken a completed crossword type puzzle board and divided it into squares. Those squares are at the top and you have to find the correct order they go in on the board at the bottom.

Word Fit Puzzle

Another crossword type board but rather than giving your clues you are given the full word answers. Figure out the correct placement of all the words on the board to complete the puzzle.

Crosswords and Cryptograms. I used to do Words With Friends but too many people stopped playing after a while. :(

I really don’t play games. My mom loves Sudoku and crossword puzzles in magazines;
I will share some of these games with her, so she can play digitally!

I have to have some games – they are relaxing to me. Let me know what your mom thinks of these.

I don’t play word games on my tablet or phone. I did not even know they existed but I guess it is naive of me to not know this. LOL I just look at these and think paper, paper, paper. I have always seen these on paper and never digitally. Makes me feel old. LOL
