Learn How to Create New Media Content at NMX

in Social Media

This April I will be headed to the New Media Expo Conference (NMX) in Las Vegas. NMX is a conference where content creators, think bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, etc., can learn new ways to grow their online presence and create even better content.

What To Expect At NMX 2015 LAS VEGAS

  • Content Creation
As I mentioned you will learn more about creating content like blogs, podcasts, video channels, and more. There will be a lot of information about audio and video production which is super hot right now.
  • Distribution
Once you have created your content you need to get it out there to the people. NMX speakers will teach you how to reach a larger audience and engage your community. There will be talk on all the major social networks, which are ever-changing, and SEO, search marketing, syndication, networks and more.
  • Monetization
When I first created my blog it was just for fun but it quickly evolved into a career for me. This means I started making money and I want to continue to make money and increase my earnings even. At NMX they will be teaching about advertising (my weak point), sponsorship, paid content, and other monetization options.
  • New Media Tradeshow
Yes, the expo hall will be filled with companies that have tools and services that can make your job as a content creator even easier.

One of the other things I am really looking forward to about NMX is a different mix of people to network with. I go to several conferences a year but they are generally for lifestyle bloggers. These are my people and I adore them but I want to branch out and learn more and newer techniques to keep my audience happy and keep myself happy with my career. The NMX conference is going to allow me to see old friends and make plenty of new ones and reignite my passion for social media.

As a bonus, NMX is co-located with the National Associations of Broadcasters Show (NAB Show) this year. NAB Show will have over 97,000 attendees for new media content creators to network with. This is great because you get to travel just once and pay for just one hotel but be able to attend two phenomenal events.

Who will be joining me at NMX this year? If you aren’t sure why attending a conference can be helpful be sure to read my post, Why and How To Attend Blogging Conferences.

Can’t wait to hear all about it. You are very connected as it is. It will be interesting to see what you think.

I’m sure you’ll learn a lot (and also contribute your own knowledge) to the conference.
Try to behave yourself in Las Vegas!

This sounds like it going to be a huge event and a tad different fron the conferences you usually attend. It will be interesting to see how your blog will change (dont change too much we love you as you are) and how you will use the new info. I would suppose it is energizing to attend the conferences not just for the fun but I can almost ‘hear’ the excitement watching your tweets.

I promise it won’t change too much – more just add to what I already do and more video probably :)
