infographics logoSummer is here and the sun is out. Why not use the sun to your advantage and make yourself a solar-powered phone charger. This is also a great project for the kids to keep them learning this summer. My son loved making science projects like this all the time. I found this infographic with step-by-step instructions to make your own charger and a little extra info about solar power.

Will you try making your own solar phone charger? Have you made any other solar-powered devices before?

This is a great way to charge my phone by making and using my own solar powered phone charger. I would like to have one of these so I can save on electricity. What a very good idea!

I have seen people doing this in youtube and it really is pretty cllever. This wwould be good for campng or to stick in an emergency bag. We havent built them yet, but it doesnt look too tough except finding the small soloae cell part..

Does it work? I’m curious to know. This is something I will share with my homeschoolung group. I think we can all try this. It looks interesting.

this sounds like something i should try doing with my 4 year old nephew. maybe hes a bit young to stay focused, but hes definetly into nitty gritty building stuff and electronics like his father.
