Ruby Slipper Cocktail Recipe

I love this recipe for a summer cocktail that combines fresh summer fruits and herbs for a refreshing drink. Thanks to Deep Eddy for sharing this recipe today!

  • 2 oz Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka
  • 4 raspberries
  • 1 thin (de-seeded) habanero clove
  • ½ oz fresh Watermelon juice (you can find this at high end grocery stores or simply juice yourself)
  • 2 basil leaves
  • Splash of club soda

Muddle raspberries and habanero clove. Combine all ingredients, including 1 basil leaf, and shake vigorously with ice. Strain over fresh ice. Top with Club Soda and add basil leaf garnish.

Is this a cocktail that you would try? What changes, if any, would you make to the recipe?

I love raspberries in any recipe, and especially in this drink. The Ruby Slipper Cocktail looks so pretty! The watermelon juice sounds so delicious in this drink. I want to try it!

I could eat raspberries all day. I bet this is really good with the watermelon juice too.
I know you posted this on the 10th…today (July 11th) is National Mojito Day, so you might need to do another cocktail post. Cheers!

I’m wondering what this taste like. Is it sweet and sour? Is it sweet? If I juice myself, how rioe do I want the watermelon?

Looks tasty, except I’d leave jalapeno clove out.
