Jack Honey Sweetened Blackberry Tea Cocktail | RobynsOnlineWorld.com | 5 o'Clock Friday Recipe

This weekend is the unofficial end of summer and a great time to sit outside, BBQ, and sip on a nice cocktail. This week’s recipe comes from the fine folks at Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey (disclosure – I have received free samples from them, opinions are my own) and Creative Culinary who offer up this tasty tea cocktail.

Now, if you want to cheat and use store-bought, premade blackberry tea or use blackberry tea bags I promise I won’t tell anyone. However, if you have access to fresh blackberries I strongly suggest brewing up a batch of the tea as per the recipe.

Jack Honey Sweetened Blackberry Tea

  • 2oz Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
  • lemon slices
  • blackberries
  • mint leaves

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups ice water
  • 3 family size tea bags (or 6 regular size)
  • 6oz fresh blackberries
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • 1 lemon
  • 2-4 tablespoons simple syrup

1.Boil 2 cups of water and turn off heat. Immerse tea bags in water and let them steep in the water for about 10 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and add the ice water.
2.Mash the blackberries and mint in a bowl and add to a tea pitcher. Squeeze lemon and add the juice to the fruit, mix thoroughly.
3.Once the tea has cooled down and you've added the ice water, fill the pitcher with ice, add the fruit mixture and stir thoroughly.
1.Fill an glass with ice. Combine 6 oz of tea with 2 oz of Jack Honey and stir. Garnish with a slice of lemon, a spring of mint and a blackberry. Serve with straws.

I’m not a big fan of beer and malt beverages but found I like Jack Honey on occasions but am lost as to what to do with it and just mix it with cola and ice. This recipe sounds pretty good!

My family is from the south and loves their tea. I love the addition of blackberries in this tea for something different!
