Great infographic. I didn’t know to wrap the lights around the branches instead of draping them. Also I always start my lights at the top and not the bottom. never thought to do this.

We have one white string and one colored string on our indoor tree. When we go around looking at people’s outdoor lights I like to see both. White is more magical; colored is more fun, usually.

The energy usage difference is pretty substantial, especially if someone wasn’t good about using timers. I don’t decorate for Christmas, but am planning on buying some white lights after Christmas on the big clearance sale for my new screened porch.

That will be amazing in your new porch @kgoodman:disqus! Can’t wait to see it!
